
Mr. Kelly Haughton
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Kelly Haughton is the founder and CEO of GIG. He has a global reputation as a leading index investment professional, innovator, and business strategist. Mr. Haughton brings broad experience to index-related businesses as the creator of the Russell index family including the Russell 2000 and the Russell style indexes as well as managing the partnership with the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), which put ICE into the equity futures trading business. Articles and opinion pieces by Mr. Haughton have appeared in The Financial Times, Global Pensions, Asian Asset Management, and Investments and Wealth Manager, among others. Mr. Haughton received the George F. Russell, Jr. Achievement Award for innovation and entrepreneurial leadership in 2003 and was inducted into the Index Business Association Hall of Fame in December 2009.
Mr. Haughton's community involvement includes serving as a member of the board of directors for the Economic Development Board of Tacoma/Pierce County and Junior Achievement of Greater Puget Sound.

Mr. David Griswold
General Counsel and Compliance
Managing Principal
Prior to founding GIG, Mr. Griswold was Director of Global Regulatory Policy for Russell Investments, overseeing Russell’s regulatory compliance efforts world-wide. In that capacity, Mr. Griswold was responsible for assisting Russell in identifying, developing and adopting global best practices in its investment management and other businesses.
During his tenure at Russell, which began in 1989, Mr. Griswold also served as Associate General Counsel and in that capacity assisted in building Russell’s funds offerings in Australia, Canada, Singapore and the United States. Mr. Griswold also acted as counsel to Russell’s institutional brokerage business. Mr. Griswold’s experience in the index business includes the creation of an index-related joint venture and providing advice regarding index reconstitution.
Prior to joining Russell, Mr. Griswold practiced law for six years at the Seattle firm of Foster, Pepper & Sheffleman, where he had a general business and securities practice including the representation of start-up ventures and new and existing public companies.
A native of Washington State, Mr. Griswold has been active in a number of charitable organizations and is the outgoing Chair of the Visiting Committee of the University of Washington's Department of Economics. The Visiting Committee consists of community and business leaders providing support and guidance to the Department.

Mr. Rui M. Moura
Marketing and Distribution
Managing Principal
Mr. Rui (Roy) Moura is a founder and a member of the executive team at GIG. He has over 24 years in the financial services industry, both in a C-Level capacity and as a partner in two entrepreneurial ventures. Most of those years were spent serving the financial services industry in their quest to create and execute marketing and distribution strategies into institutional and intermediary markets (HNW RIA, Multi-Family Offices and CFP firms) around the globe.
Mr. Moura started his financial services career at Fidelity Investments and then at the Boston Company, where he and a few colleagues bought out their division and started the first third party independent distributor for the asset management business: Funds Distributor Inc. (FDI). While the General Manager at FDI, it became the first US distributor to introduce the first international ETF, then known as World Equity Benchmark Shares, a joint venture between MSCI and BGI. Today these WEBS are better known as BGI's iShares. In 2000, he assumed the position of Chief Marketing Officer at Russell Investments. After Russell, he and partners started a hedge fund of fund business, The Winslow Group, eventually selling it to Milestone International Asset Management of Europe.
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts and an alumni of the Babson College Olin Management School of Entrepreneurial Studies, he is also a past Chairman of the Corporate Executive Committee of the FPA (formally ICFP). Mr. Moura recently retired as a Lieutenant Colonel and Commanding Officer in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He is also a graduate of the National Defense University and the Command and Staff College, where he is a certified instructor for young officers aspiring to command.

Mr. Paul Starkey

Mr. Starkey has extensive experience within the financial markets, data and technology industry, having previously worked at Indxis where Mr. Starkey was the driving force behind the creation of the index licensing / index services business and was responsible for the day-to-day operations. Prior to being the Managing Director for Indxis Mr. Starkey was Managing Director Global Strategy for Mergent Inc. a leading provider of business and financial data and also Managing Director of Kinetic Information System Services Limited an index technology and consulting business. Before joining Mergent Inc. in January 2003 Mr. Starkey was Commercial Director of Synergy Software Solutions Ltd. a UK based financial analysis solution provider. Mr. Starkey has also held senior positions within corporate finance and stock broking institutions and has numerous associated qualifications.
